TrainPro has taken their popular 3-Day Xactimate Fundamentals Training class and turned it into a 3-Day training that students can take from the home or office. For a few hours each day, your Xactimate Fundamentals Virtual Training will feature hands-on learning by an Xactimate Certified Trainer, getting you up to speed as quickly and effectively as possible.

Experience the benefits of an Xactimate training seminar without ever leaving your home or office. Our trainers will personalize the instruction for the attendees and review of their work during the training.

With TrainPro's Xactimate Fundamentals Virtual Classroom Training, you will spend a few hours each day learning Xactimate by an Xactimate Certified Trainer.

Xactimate Fundamentals Virtual Classroom Training includes all of the curriculum that is taught in our 3-Day classroom training facilitated by an Xactimate Certified Trainer. The course consists of five two and a half-hour (2.5 hour) virtual classroom sessions and four one-hour study sessions.

This course teaches both new and intermediate Xactimate users the most efficient ways to estimate in Xactimate, including Sketch, line-item entry, photo documentation and reporting. Our training staff has current, real-life experience as adjusters, estimators, field managers and trainers bringing a wealth of industry knowledge to the trainings.

This course is designed to prepare users for the Level 1 Certification Exam.



This course provides an interactive training experience with the convenience of working from home or office. Our Xactimate Fundamentals Virtual Classroom Training is designed to teach the important concepts of Xactimate needed to create quality estimates to new and intermediate users.


Students of this course should meet the following prerequisites before attending class: 

 Computer and Internet system requirements:

  • High-speed Internet with Internet Explorer or Google Chrome
  • Laptop with Xactimate installed and external mouse. A live Demo copy of Xactimate is acceptable for the training class. Please make sure it is up and running prior to the start of training.
  • A telephone to allow for dial-in voice, or a working computer microphone to use during the training.

Computer skills

  • Comfortable navigating through Microsoft Windows
  • Experienced in saving files and opening .zip files on the computer.
  • Basic typing proficiency (15+ words per minute)
  • General understanding of the property loss industry and terminology 

*** NOTE: Students of this class must meet the system and computer skill requirements outlined in the Course Summary documents listed above or they may be asked to leave the class. 


This course is conducted in a virtual classroom environment accessed through the Internet and telephone. In addition to the virtual classroom training, students are required to complete four, one-hour study sessions during the week of the training class. The 17-hour course consists of five virtual classroom sessions and four self-study sessions.


Students of this course will learn the following: 

  • The 4-Step Estimating Process
  • Basic claims creation, homeowner information, entering claim rep information, company headers, pricelist and more required for the setup of a claim. 
  • All Sketch functions and practices creating interior floorplans, exteriors, and small roofs 
  • Search techniques used to find the correct line items using the Xactware pricelist.
  • Use of variables to quickly and accurately calculate room quantities.
  • How to document the claim file with quality photos, and proper way to quickly label the photos.


MONDAY -   Claim Info  (3 Hour Session) including training orientation

TUESDAY -  Sketch  (2.5 Hour Session)

WEDNESDAY -   Estimate Items (2.5 Hour Session)

THURSDAY -   Roof Sketch and Estimating  (2.5 Hour Session)

FRIDAY -  Completing and Printing  (2.5 Hour Session)

* One hour of self-study is required outside of the schedule class session.

Note: Course registration includes all five class sessions. Attendees must participate in all five class sessions.  Monday session is a three (3) hour session.  All other days are two and half hours (2.5 hours).
